Walk in calm.
Drive out test-ready.
The printable revision pack I use with my own learners, plus practice plans for the people who help them between lessons.
Instant PDF download · Print at home · Works with any instructor
You've done the lessons. So why does test day still feel uncertain?
Most learners don't fail because they can't drive. They fail on the small things: a rushed look at a junction, a mirror check that comes a second too late, or a mind that goes blank when the examiner asks a "tell me" question.
Those things can be fixed with a bit of structure in the weeks before the test. This pack gives you that structure.

Both are instant PDF downloads you can print as many times as your household needs.

Structure for the weeks before your test
What actually happens on the test
How the test runs, how it's marked, and why the examiner wants to see a safe driver rather than a perfect one.
The 10 faults that fail the most tests
For each one: what it looks like, why it happens, and the simple fix.
Show me, tell me cards
All 21 questions with plain-English answers, as double-sided cut-out cards. Five minutes a day is all it takes.
Manoeuvres, step by step
Parallel park, bay parking forwards and in reverse, pulling up on the right, and the emergency stop, with space for your car's reference points.
Roundabouts and junctions
Which lane to use, when to signal, and how to read a junction with confidence.
Your nerves plan
What to do the week before, the night before, on the morning and in the car, plus a test-day checklist.
8 practice sessions for parents
From quiet-road control to a full mock test. Each says what to practise, what to watch for, and ends with a review box to bring to your next lesson.
Mock test marking sheet
A one-page sheet a supervisor can use to mark a practice drive like an examiner would, with a clear pass guide.
Progress tracker
25 skills, each rated on a five-level scale. Seeing the ticks move right does wonders for confidence.
This pack is for you if…
- You've got a test booked, or you're getting close
- You get nervous and want a clear plan
- You keep forgetting the show me, tell me answers
- You practise with a parent and want those drives to count
- You're a parent who wants to help without contradicting the instructor
It's not for you if…
- You're hoping to skip lessons. This supports professional lessons; it doesn't replace them.
- You're looking for theory test revision. This is for the practical test. (Try the free theory quiz instead.)
Hi, I'm Robert.
I've been teaching people to drive since 2017, and I run D4Driving School of Motoring in Peterborough. Before that I drove well over a million kilometres across Europe, the US and the UK.
On YouTube, more than 37,000 learners and parents follow my lessons and test tips. The thing I'm asked for most is: "Is there something I can print and work through?" This is it, written so you can use it with any instructor, anywhere in the UK.
Smooth is fast, fast is smooth. You don't need to be quick. You need to be calm, safe and in control.
Good to know
Is this a physical product?
No. It's an instant PDF download. Print it at home, at a library or at a print shop. The revision cards print best on thicker paper or card.
Will it work if my instructor isn't D4Driving?
Yes. It covers the UK practical driving test, which is the same everywhere. Where methods vary by car, such as manoeuvre reference points, there's space to write in what your instructor teaches you.
Is it for manual or automatic?
Both. Almost everything applies to either, and where the technique differs, such as clutch control versus brake control in manoeuvres, the pack says so.
Will this guarantee I pass?
No one can honestly promise that. What the pack does is help you prepare properly, so you walk in knowing what to expect.
Is it endorsed by DVSA?
No. It's an independent guide written by a DVSA approved driving instructor. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by DVSA.
Can I share it with a friend?
Please don't share the file, but you can print as many copies as you need for your own household.
What if there's a problem with my download?
Email info@d4driving.co.uk and I'll sort it out personally.
Every lesson gets you closer.
This is for the bits in between.
The Test Ready Pack is general guidance to support professional driving lessons. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by DVSA. Always follow the Highway Code and your instructor's advice.
